In 1811, over 500 enslaved people from at least 19 plantations along Louisiana’s German Coast revolted in a fight for liberation. About the event
On Saturday, January 11, come celebrate the opening of a new exhibit at Woodland. The day will feature a commemorative ceremony with performances, music, and more by local artists. After the ceremony, enjoy a community lunch and an open house of the new exhibit space.
